Orchard Academy Trust believes when we work together and share our skills and knowledge great things can happen!

To this end, we are proud to be part of the Kent MAT Alliance, joining in 2023. 

This collaboration allows us to continue to be outward facing, work with like-minded individuals and organisations to ensure that we continually challenge ourselves to improve. 

The Kent MAT Alliance (KMA) was formed in June 2018 to enable a partnership network of Multi Academy Trust CEOs to collaborate on common issues affecting their Multi-Academy Trusts. The Alliance provides a focus for the activity of Trusts to work towards greater sustainability and improved practice in support of the education of children.

MATs within the KMA will not only be better placed in the cycle of continuous improvement and change but will also be optimised to embrace the opportunities that such challenges bring.

KMA operate under four key principles:

• Ambition – To improve the life chances and educational outcomes of all children
• Efficiency – To streamline our business processes to increase capacity and financial sustainability, and reduce unnecessary bureaucracy
• Effectiveness – To continuously improve through research, best practice and strong governance
• Partnerships – To work with key stakeholders in support of the strategic vision of the Alliance.
